I am so happy that Spring is here and color is all the rave! I love a simple outfit with just a little bit of color added. If you are feeling even bolder, wear a bunch of color!

collin the canadian

It's official.. Collin arrived in Ottawa, Ontario (right above New York) last night. I am unsure of the time difference, so I should probably put that on my list of things to do. Our primary communication will probably be via Skype.. once I stop being lazy and take a trip to Comcast and get internet set up in my apartment. It is unreal how much people must rely on technology these days, i.e. cell phones, Skype video chatting, gchat, etc. I think we would all be lost if we did not have these things...


Collin will be living in downtown Ottawa using public transportation to get around (which I hear is like New York.. everybody uses it there). He will be living with 2-3 international players to a room (BUNK BEDS!) in a huge house and within walking distance, dare I say it, from an Urban Outfitters, all the more reason to visit him. If there is a free people, I may move. Not really. Collin will be there through the end of October when his season is ends. Hopefully I can make the trip to Ottawa sometime in July. The look of it seems so European and I love it...

The maxi length skirt has resurfaced! This 70's inspired look is a great purchase for the spring... pairs well with a chunky heel (hello, jeffrey campbell), a pair of combat boots (steve madden has various styles), or a simple pair of black old converse (for a more casual look).

Current Obsession: Ombre Hair

I have always been one of those girls who loves to try new and different things with my hair. I am not afraid of messing my hair up because I know it grows back. So, going through the latest fashion blogs (fashiontoast being one of my favorite fashion blogs and fashion inspiration) .. I realized fashion models were beginning to rock the Ombre look.. which simple defined is.. the "roots" look.. dark roots fading to a lighter shade. Of course, I went to the hair salon the following week and got this done. Because my hair is so dark, the stylist couldn't exactly get it as blonde as my inspirational pictures (below) .. but the next time I go in (for a touch up), it should be able to lift more blonde.
