fave look of the moment: cat eyeliner

Nothing is sexier than a cat eye. Starting this trend, in my opinion, would be the fashionista Alexa Chung herself, followed by Nicole Richie. If only I could perfect this look now. Hands down, my favorite look of the moment and perhaps forever... spices up any outfit. 

*Tip: Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in "Black Ink" works THE best. Glides on perfectly and finishes so nice on the eyelid, without budging.

Oh boy. Planet Blue really killed it with this "Day of the Dead" campaign. So major.

nappy hair, don't care

Although beach season is on the up and out, I will never lose my love for beachy, wavy locks. I use Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray but a recent pick-up at Ulta lead me to Fekkai's Marine Summer Hair .. if you don't mind the smell of baby powder (which comes later after you've been wearing it for a bit) then this is awesome. If you are going for nappy hair, use the Bumble & Bumble.. if you want a more classic and not-so-grunge look, go with Fekkai. They are both totally worth the scrilla.

tuesday tunesday - vogue's lolla playlist!

Quick update before I get to the playlist! I am officially employed (thank goodness) and now I can begin saving so that I can do the fun things in life (i.e. rage, music festivals, house/dubstep shows, travel, move downtown, purchase a new car, etc.). I am going to SF this weekend to visit my old Gonzaga friends and hopefully scalp a ticket to Outside Lands Music Festival.. pumped about it!

trend spotting: knots!

One of my favorite trends of the year is a simple knotted tank/t-shirt. It can completely change the look of an outfit from a simple, plain-jane outfit to an edgy, trendy outfit! Here's a closer look at the different ways to add a knot to your outfit. My favorite: a side knot.
